How the Universe Will Make You Rich

If you are an avid watcher or listener of motivational products like DVD, Podcasts or Life Coaching then you may have heard of The Law of Attraction. This is a concept that has been around since the beginning of the twentieth century and has been debated and discussed in many texts throughout the last 100 years.

Very basically, the concept is based around the following four steps;

1. Know what you want.

2. Ask the universe for it.

3. Feel and behave as if the object of your desire is on its way.

4. Be open to receiving it.

Should we be considering this concept or is it merely just another collection of new-age philosophy that is designed to encourage a wave of positive thinking? Let us discuss what the Law is, whether it is real and how we can use the concept to help our personal development.

It is easy to view the Law of Attraction as the easy route. Just think of what you want and it will happen for you. The obvious response is to think to yourself that there is nothing to worry about because success will just come to you. But this is not the concepts purpose, as you will have to actually do something for it to work. But you can activate it by amending your thinking to begin the process towards success and growth.

Have you ever thought about someone and the telephone rings and it is them? I think we have all had this at least once or twice. If this happened once to a friend or family member, we could think how amazing that is and it is a co-incidence. But to happen to many people has to make us stop and think. The philosophy is that what we think about will happen to us, whether it is good or bad. Therefore it is sensible to make our thoughts pure and totally focused on what we want to achieve. The Law of Attraction says that when we think about something the Universe will help make it happen. Noel Edmonds a popular U.K television presenter wrote down that he wanted a new T.V. show after having success in the 1990's with Noels House Party. He has said in many interviews that without the Universes help he would not be enjoying the success of Deal or No Deal or Noels Christmas Presents, which are his latest two successful shows.

Look at your current lifestyle critically. Lots of people have the goal of getting up, going to work, getting home as quickly as possible and then watching T.V. The universe makes this happen and they tend to achieve this quite well! But the law does not care what we want, it merely provides it blindly. So it is very important that you empower yourself to implementing some change and take control of your earning power and future. It does not necessarily need to be a business or even making money, but follow your goals with complete focus and the law will do the rest.

The law is based on what the power of positive thought can achieve. The fact you are here reading this article suggests you have an awareness of this and can relate to it, even if it at present observing others is the only tangible evidence. Everyone who has a rags to riches story is testament to the power of positive thought. In 1937 Napoleon Hill published his book Think and Grow Rich which became one of the best selling books of all time selling over 60 million copies. He discusses the importance of controlling your own thoughts in order to achieve success, as well as the energy that thoughts have and their ability to attract other thoughts and therefore opportunities. Can youwork out what Hills great secret of the book holds? He said it is better if you work it out for yourself, and it is widely believe the Law of Attraction is the big secret he alludes to throughout the book.

Scientists are critical of the law because they cannot measure it. The word law implies a set of rules, so when the only way we can measure the success of the law is through occurrences which could easily be looked on as luck we are obviously open to criticism when believing in things like this. Another very obvious criticism is that if merely thought produced positive results then why poverty, famine and death in third world and other suffering countries?

Readers are encouraged to watch The Secret (2006 which focuses on the Law of Attraction. This can be found on amazon. This gained so much exposure that Oprah Winfrey dedicated two shows to the concept, and Larry King also had a lengthy discussion on the subject.

My personal take on the idea is that it enforces things I already hold close to me. Positive thinking never hurts, but to think negatively or not at all means you can never reach your potential. If you decline to learn how to ride a bike do not expect to be able to cycle. So do not be one of these people who sits back and shouts that life is not kind to them, stand up and force life to consider you as a potential success.

Whether or not you are helped by the Universe in reaching your goals, a lot of your assistance will come from within. The dogged determination to let nothing stand in your way will break as many barriers and obstacles as any law can. If the law does exist, then combining your own positive attitude with the universes help will make you unstoppable.

Negative Thinking - 4 Steps to Getting Rid of Negative Thoughts

Negative thinking can encourage the manifestation of negative events in our life. When you are focused strongly on all the things that are wrong or could go wrong, it often seems that these things become more likely to happen. Conversely, setting our minds on what we want, on the positive things we desire, seem to attract these things more strongly into our lives. If you find yourself bogged down by negative thinking processes, here are 4 steps to releasing this energy so that there is room for the positive:

1. Take care for yourself physically. Don't underestimate the impact physical health has upon mental well being. Eat well, focusing on whole grains, lean proteins, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Take supplements if needed, including a food based multivitamin, calcium, and fish oil. Exercise according to your doctor's recommendations. Sustained cardiovascular exercise releases endorphins, the feel good compounds that help elevate your mood.

2. Release your anger toward others and yourself. Whoever the object of your anger is, try this exercise. First, allow yourself the full experience of the anger. Let the emotion fully consume you, and feel the impact on your body and emotions. Once you have felt the negative effects, tell yourself consciously that you are going to release the anger because it no longer serves YOU. Allow that the person you are angry with did the best they could, with what they had to work with - keeping in mind, that may not be much. Imagine the release of this person to the universe, to God and whatever is in store for him or her. Allow that you are exactly where you are meant to be, right here and now. Begin to imagine what benefits may arise from your experience. You may need to repeat these steps several times, especially if the offense was great.

3. If negative thoughts become pervasive, you can try this technique to banish those thoughts. Try imagining a big red "X" through the thought, then say "Stop" and switch to a different physical activity.

4. Begin to focus your mind on happier thoughts - allow yourself to daydream about the things you most desire. Imagine in sensory detail what it will be like to have or experience those things - see, taste, hear, feel, and smell it. You will find that your motivation to work toward these goals increases the more tangible in your mind they become.

You Bet You Can Change Your Life

Most people read a book and if it's good, they might recommend it to someone else, but if the book is great, you can guarantee they will recommend it to everyone who is interested or who they think might be interested in the book. In the field of personal development, one book comes to mind, it's called, "You Can Have It All" by Arnold Patent.

I found the book in one of our antique thrift stores and paid less than $10 for it, I really didn't think much of it and never heard of Arnold Patent before. We've all heard of Anthony Robbins, Susie Orman, Wayne Dyer, but I never heard of Arnold Patent. I skimmed through the book and it looked like a short read. I read the book in about six hours and plan to reread the book, as soon as I get it back for my daughter. The book has short chapters, most of them less than five pages.

Looking at the short chapters, you could get the impression, that there isn't very much information in each chapter, how could there be with less than five pages and some chapters less than three pages. This was very deceiving to me, because each paragraph, was like a chapter and each chapter was like a small book.

The book is full of tools and advice and combines personal development with spirituality. He has chapters on meditation, energy, enjoying what you love to do for the rest of your life, cause and effect, abundance, attachment, pain and suffering, harmony, karma the past and forgiveness.

I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to read this book and if you're looking for some basics on quite a few motivational, spiritual and laws of attraction topics, this book has almost everything you need to get you interested in changing your life. You could actually read one chapter a day and think about it for the rest of the week, there's that much information in each chapter.

I was reading one of his recommendations and it was from Oprah Winfrey, she said, "It was one of the most important books that I had ever read." That's coming from one of the most successful people in the entertainment business. I stumbled across this book and might not have ever found it, but I'm telling you about it and highly recommend it.

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne - Have You Read It?

When I first started to get involved with Internet Marketing, I was told about some books I should read and one of those was The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.

Well I found The Secret in my local book shop and bought it. I have to admit that once I started reading it I couldn't put it down, and as this was a low period for me it filled me with inspiration.

The scholar's from times gone by and all the successful businessman, and personal coaches from today are using The Secret in their lives now. I mean, if some of the greatest people in history believed in it then who am I to disagree. People like Shakespeare, Isaac Newton, Beethoven, Lincoln, Einstein and the list goes on.

It is all based around the Law of Attraction, which states that if you always have bad thoughts then that's what you will always attract, if you always feel depressed then that's what you will attract, and if you only think about debt then that's what you will attract. Think and believe about wealth and you will attract it, don't question how, the Universe will find a way - Hard to believe for the skeptics among us.

OK yes we all know the benefits of positive thinking but unless you have inspiration from somewhere, it's so hard to do especially as we all know in this day and age it is gloom and despair; the world recession, etcetera. It's easy to sit and hold your head in your hands, but will that help? Not one little bit.

So lets tell you about what has happened to me since I started reading The Secret:

The first time I read it I was on cloud nine, full of positive thoughts and I even tried the car parking space trick - yes it did work, coincidence? Maybe, but it happened almost every time. But then I had some serious money and personal issues and I forgot about The Secret until recently.

To supplement my income, as yet I do not earn enough money from my Internet Marketing endeavors, I do cabbing and that has been very slow. So as I was waiting around for jobs I started reading The Secret again and on this particular occasion I had been waiting 2 hours and still no job. So I closed the book and kept saying to myself "You will get a good job now", I kept saying it to myself, "The Secret will take care of me", stupid you might think, but what did I have to lose.

I left the area I was parked in, now do I turn left or right, do I stop here, all these questions but I trusted my instincts and then, beep beep beep my on board computer had received a job, and as I opened it....wow a 50 job.

I was thrilled and another strange coincidence, or not? Was it as the last passenger reached their destination we somehow mentioned The Secret and he said that since he has read and believed he has had a 3,000 Tax rebate, and as an actor has just won a new contract for a TV series.

Well after this job straight away another job came down 30 and this happened 3 more times in the space of 2 hours. Is this just a coincidence or something deeper?

I have been trying this since last Friday night and you know what instead of sitting there thinking the next job will be a bad one, because remember think a bad job and the Genie say's "your wish is my command" and a bad job you will receive.

Now I visualise the on board computer, and in my mind imagine seeing a good job on the screen, it work's, but you have to believe.

All I need now is to work harder at the Internet Marketing Business and believe it will all come to me.

This is my Internet Marketing for Newbies product a Home Study Course where you get full video tuition for every strategy you will ever need to be a success at working from home. This comes with a full no questions asked money back guarantee so you really have nothing to lose.

What Are the Pros and Cons of Whole Foods?

Some say eating whole foods is an entire lifestyle. It's not just about eating raw foods or eating unprocessed meals. It is about so much more. It's about bringing environmentally-conscious reusable tote bags to pack your groceries in; it's about riding your bike instead of driving to work; it's about dyeing your hair with henna rather than chemicals; it's about wearing clothes made of hemp; it's about solar panels, reducing our carbon footprint and backyard composting. Others say the offerings at Whole Foods Market stores are overpriced and overrated.

There are many benefits to eating whole and natural foods. As Whole Foods Market chairman John Mackey says, "There's no inherent reason why business cannot be ethical, socially responsible, and profitable." Shoppers can pat themselves on the back for helping the small organic farmer in America, versus foreign workers across the country.

Those who shop specifically at the Whole Foods stores can also feel good knowing that the lowest wage for employees is $13.15/hour, with benefits that include healthcare. Furthermore, no executive makes more than 14 times the employee average. They've also purchased a year's worth of wind power energy for their stores. Fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy and meats without hormones, preservatives, pesticides and other unnatural additives seem like the most basic components of a healthy diet.

Price is one of the main criticisms of Whole Foods Market, and is sometimes casually referred to as "Whole Paycheck" for that very reason. Consumers opt into an agreement where they're willing to pay a few dollars more for whole foods that they feel are healthier, better for them and more ethical.

Some critics wonder if the movement can be justified. Are the foods locally grown? How do we know there aren't hormones or additives in this food? Questions aside, the notion that only well-off members of society can afford to shop at these stores suggests that the whole and organic food craze may be little more than a quest for distinction, a sort of status symbol of the rich.

Even though prices are high, the foods market is doing some things to promote thrift. This holiday season, Whole Foods has rolled out a promotional list of environmentally-friendly gifts that cost less than $20. They've also offered "Value Tours" of their stores to show consumers how to save a few bucks and include more money-saving tips on the company blog. "We've been nimble, and we're really able to help our shoppers when they may have to shop with a budget for the first time," said Whole Foods spokeswoman Kate Lowery.

Crafting Renewal Wedding Vows - When Crisis Intervenes Create a Perfect Vow Renewal Ceremony

When something serious happens in your life, such as an accident or an illness, you may want to consider a renewal of your wedding vows in a renewal or second wedding ceremony. On such an occasion, here are some things to consider for inclusion in your vows and your renewal ceremony:

  • You want to make a simple affirmation of the love you have for one another.
  • You want to acknowledge that life is hard and good.
  • You want to acknowledge the change in circumstances and the need for each of you, to the best of your ability, to stay aware of one another's needs and the centrality of the marriage.
  • What are the values you have leaned on in your marriage up until now that you will need even more strongly as you cope with what life has handed you?
  • What values might you need to incorporate?
  • Do you have models and mentors for those values?
  • Whoever is planning the ceremony must speak to the need for the community's support and involvement. The statement that marriages grounded in community do better when there is a community of support is never stronger or more meaningful than when you're in the midst of life's challenges. Remember that your community wants to support you, you just need to give them some clues about how to do that best.
  • You also want to celebrate. Life is good, despite the long haul ahead; you are alive, in love and in one another's company. You are at the center of a loving community. Life can seem overwhelming, so it's important to lift up what is good. (But in a real way, not in a way that denies how difficult and painful life is. Marriage requires reality as well as commitment.)
  • Allow the passion that has been between you to flare. Passion is not simply about sex. And you both need to remember the flame that burns at the heart of your marriage.
  • Model to the world what good marriages are and do.
  • Recall the happiness of your wedding day in your renewal wedding ceremony as you face the challenges of today.

A ceremony like this will have to be pulled together fairly quickly. It should be simple rather than elaborate. You might want to enlist your community's support to gather your community and plan the event. Remember: you deserve this support and celebration! If you have a spiritual leader, presumably he or she will already be involved in your life. You want a careful conversation with your celebrant about how to frame the wedding vows you and your beloved will exchange, renew and augment.

It's easy to assume that this is the wrong time to celebrate and refocus. That there is no time, and that the time will be right later. But if there's anything that any of us know, there is only now that we can count on. Such a ceremony often gives the injured partner the opportunity to feel like an active participant in his or her life and not just a sick person. It will help caregivers realize that this is a person, not a patient.

Love is always enhanced by being stated. Get the support you need, and remember what is true at the heart of your marriage by creating a vow renewal ceremony even as your marriage is being transformed by outside forces. You didn't come this far not to keep going with your own flare and commitment.

Bottom Line?: Give your relationship the chance it deserves to succeed wildly, against all odds! After all, you deserve it. Your relationship deserves it!
